Mustang restaurálás
This car is the incarnate of the american dream, this is the Mustang GT 500 fastback, once having a look on it, it will be always on your mind. I received the order from a company specialized on importing cars from the States and restoring them. This car need more metal work than others, probably that was the reason they gave the order to me. It had a good look before, problems were displayed after disassembling and blasting.
Client knew it, so they ordered more body parts in advance, so I could select of these.
Besides building of parts with high precision, I had to manufacture some parts which were not available on market. Such a part is the air intake console and it´s fixing plate.
Repair arch and many more. I was focusing on corrosion protection of closed profiles using special primer, which gives such a surface, that welding heat does not cause any problem on it. Namely this primer de-colours during welding, but does not fire.
Because of tight deadlines, metal works last for two months. I´m proud to be part of revival of a beauty like this.
